The Tranky Doo is one of the three most common routines from the early era with the Shim Sham and the Big Apple. It is performed widely and well know by many dancers.

The Tranky Doo was choreographed by Frankie Manning while he was in the Congaroos.

Frankie eventually created a variant which is now known as the Frankie Doo.
